Ultrasonic equipment to produce respirators & protective clothing

Protection and safety are more important than ever.

Respirators have become our daily companion due to the pandemic. This makes wearing comfort and breathability more important. For longer wearing time even in medical field, the ultrasonic welded masks are the best choice.

They protect us from bacterial and viral droplet infections, from fine dust, smoke or aerosols. The masks divided into protection classes (FFP1, FFP2, FFP3; N95, KN95) are for use when particle filtration is necessary.

Protective clothing can also be optimally manufactured using ultrasonic welding.

Our ultrasonic solutions are designed for small, medium and large quantities of masks.

Advantages

  • High wearing comfort due to preservation of the softness of the nonwoven fabric
  • Soft edges at the welded seams
  • High tensile strength of elastic bands
  • Attractive aesthetics due to material preservation
  • Can be used both in the medical field and in everyday life
  • Cutting and welding in one operation
  • High process repeatability and accuracy

FAQ ultrasonic welding in medical technology

Can ultrasonic welding meet the medical requirements of a component?2022-03-16T15:12:11+01:00

The stringent requirements for medical components in terms of strength, tightness, and near particle-free can be met.

Is it possible to guarantee high process stability in the ultrasonic process?2022-03-16T15:08:20+01:00

Yes, process validation and stability as well as detailed process monitoring, traceability and data acquisition can also be guaranteed.

Which plastic welding processes are used in medical technology?2022-03-16T15:07:53+01:00

Ultrasonic joining technology is at the forefront here and is becoming increasingly popular with all its advantages, see “Advantages of ultrasonic welding“.

How is ultrasonic welding used in medical technology?2022-03-16T14:59:04+01:00

The ultrasonic welding process is used, among other things, for processing in laboratory and analytical equipment, hygiene articles, membranes, filters, adapters and connectors.

What are the advantages of ultrasonic technology compared to other joining technologies?2022-03-16T14:58:34+01:00

Unlike other processes, ultrasonic welding does not require any solvents or additives. In addition, the welding tools do not heat up, which eliminates warm-up and cool-down times, allowing for more efficient production operations.

What technology is used to weld plastics in medical technology?2022-03-16T14:57:53+01:00

There are different mechanical and thermal methods. In the case of thermal processes, there are basically the following options:

Hot caulking, hot plate welding, hot coil welding, high frequency welding, laser welding, circular welding, rotation friction welding, vibration welding, hot gas welding.

The process is selected depending on the component, the requirements and quality demands, as well as the economy of the process.
